GSL Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification :

Graduate in any discipline with 2 years full time Regular MBA / MSW / PG Degree / Diploma from a recognized University / AICTE approved institution with specialization in HRM / IR / Personnel Management / Labour and Social Welfare / Labour Studies / Social Work for SL.no.1 post,Graduate and Associate/Fellow Member of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) for post no.2,Bachelor of Engineering (B.E)/Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) from a recognized University /AICTE approved institution with specialization in Naval architecture / Electrical Engg / Electronics / Mechanical / Instrumentation. Officers serving in Indian Navy may also apply. Naval Commander/ Captains (Engg / Electrical/ Naval Architecture/ Naval Construction) can apply for AGMs/DGMs. Indian Navy Commander with more than 17 years service shall be eligible for AGM grade and Commander with 12 years of service shall be eligible for DGM grade for Post no.3.

Management Trainee (Mechanical) - Candidates should have Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) / Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) in Mechanical from a recognized University / Institution with minimum First class or 60% marks or equivalent CGPA

Management Trainee (Electronics & Communication)- Candidates should have Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) / Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) in Electronics & Communication from a recognized University / Institution with minimum First class or 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.

Selection Procedure 

Candidates are get selected based on Written Test & Interview.The selected candidate will undergo “On the Job training” for a period of one year.

Pay Scale/Salary

The candidate will be paid a basic pay of Rs.16,400/- per month in the pay scale of Rs.16400-3%-40500 (E-1 grade) plus other allowances / benefits as applicable to Management Trainees in accordance with the GSL recruitment rule.

GSL Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification :

Junior Supervisor (IT) -

Full time BCA / BBA / B.Sc. (IT). Work Experience: Minimum 03 years of DC professional experience. Desirable Work Experience: Experience as Systems Admin on Windows OS, N/W products, knowledge of programming in JSP/SQL, preliminary knowledge of any one database Oracle / SQL server.

Office Assistant -

Graduate in any discipline with minimum 1 year experience in handling communication with commercial firms in medium / large size Shipbuilding / Heavy Industries / CHA. They should be conversant with typing on computer and handling computer applications like Word / Power Point with 01 year certificate course in computer applications.


Yard Assistant -

The applicant should have graduation Degree in any discipline with typing speed of 30 w.p.m. (i.e. Lower Typing) with 01 year certificate course in computer applications and 01 year on the job training in GSL or minimum one year experience in the line. In case of BCA / BSc. in Computer, separate certificate in computer applications is not required.

Cook - SSC with minimum 02 years cooking experience in any industry / Public sector Undertaking / Small or Medium Industry / Hotel etc.

Shipwright Fitter -

The applicant should possess ITI and NCTVT or ITI in Fitter General Trade.
Plumber - The applicant should possess SSC with 2 years training in respective trade in GSL or 2 years of experience in the line. NOTE: Candidates with lower qualifications.

Age Limit Criteria : 

Candidates must be ages of 33 years as on 31.10.2016.Age relaxation are applicable as per rules.
